From the looks of it, the Ather 450X looks like any other EV scooter, with a slim aesthetic profile and three different paint options to choose from White, Grey, and Green. Besides the regular 450X model, the company is also introducing a Collector’s Edition 450X, which takes a more premium approach with better graphics and a bunch of other goodies offered to customers during pre-ordering. The EV scooter will be available in two performance packages: 450X Plus and 450X Pro, with the Plus subscription starting at Rs 1,699/month and the Pro coming in at Rs 1,999/month. When deciding between the two plans, the difference between the Plus and Pro subscription boils down to a few added functionalities and features. To begin with, the Pro offers a range of 85km with fast charging (15 km in 10 minutes), Bluetooth connectivity (offering call alerts and music control), and the infamous Warp mode that offers 26 Nm of torque with 0-40 km/h in just 3.3 seconds.
Ather 450X Specs & Features
Under the hood, the Ather 450X comes with a 2.9 kWh Li-ion battery with fast charging support. The scooter features a touchscreen dashboard, which is a 7-inch TFT LCD panel, and it runs on a 1.3 GHz Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor, coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Besides, it runs on the Android OSP and includes features like GPS, BLE 5.0, Wi-Fi, and 4G LTE for connectivity. Among other things, the electric scooter comes with a 22L boot capacity, disc brakes on the front and the rear, side stand sensors, auto turn-off indicators, find my scooter, along with a few other basic features such as onboard navigation, take-me-home lights, live location/vehicle state, voice assistant, reverse mode, and connected mobile app support. It also comes with support for smart accessories like Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Smart Helmet. As per our sources, Ather plans to launch their own accessories like Smart Helmets in the future.
Ather 450X: Pricing and Availability
The all-new Ather 450X starts at a price tag of Rs 99,990 (in Bangalore), with Plus and Pro performance packs adding to the cost and coming in at Rs 1,49,000 and Rs 1,59,000, upfront. It will be available in two performance packages: Ather 450X Plus and Ather 450X Pro, with the Plus subscription starting at Rs 1,699/month and the Pro coming in at Rs 1,999/month. As for availability, the company says that the deliveries will start sometime in Q3.
