The Coolpad Dazen X7 is the better-equipped handset of the two, hence its bigger price of Rs.17, 999 (around $280). The smartphone features a 5.2-inch super AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution, being powered by the MT6595 octa- core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.7 GHz. It also gets 3GB of onboard RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The phone features an elegant profile, having a thinness of just 6.5mm and weighing 141 grams. It has an unibody design made of aircraft grade aluminium and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the back. It will be available in in Champagne gold and Titanium White colors. The Dazen X7 runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with the Cool UI 6.0 skin on top. Albeit it’s a bit disappointing that it doesn’t feature the latest Android version, it does get a few special software features like the option shake to change wallpaper, integrated content services and others. Regarding its cameras, it features an 8MP illuminated Sony IMX214 front camera for selfies and video calls and a 13MP sensor with f /1.8 wide aperture, 28mm wide-angle and color temperature flash on the back. The device comes with a 2,700mAh battery, is 4G LTE capable, comes with dual SIM card slots and you can increase its storage up to 128GB with external microSD cards.
As for the Coolpad Dazen 1, this device sports a 5-inch HD display with a 1280x720p resolution, being powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. It gets just 8GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 3GB via microSD card. It too runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Coolpad’s own customized UI skin. There’s a a 8MP rear camera and 5MP front facing camera on the device. The phone comes with a 2,500mAh battery, lets you use 2 SIM cards and supports 3G, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity options. The Dazen 1 will be available in some color options that are quite funny – Moon Dust grey and Baby snow-white.
