Huawei Watch GT 2: Design and Display
The Watch GT 2 features the same all-in-one 3D glass design similar to the previous generation and has a ceramic bezel with stainless steel shell and DLC coating. As already mentioned, the watch comes in two screen sizes: 42mm and 46mm, with both models offering up to 5ATM of water resistance. The 42mm model features a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with 390 x 390 pixels screen resolution and weighs in at 29gm. On the other hand, the 46mm model includes a slightly bigger 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 454 x 454 pixels screen resolution and a bit of heft coming in at 41gm. The 42mm model comes in only one color, Night Black, whereas the 46mm offers three different color options: Matte Black, Pebble Brown, and Titanium Grey.
Huawei Watch GT 2: Performance
Besides a few differences in its size and dimensions, both, the 42mm and 46mm Watch GT 2 models, are powered by the same Huawei’s in-house Kirin A1 chip, coupled with 2GB of onboard storage. And come with the same set of specifications, such as Bluetooth 5.1 (and BLE 5.1), GPS, and optical heart rate sensors, along with Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Geomagnetic, Ambient light, Air pressure, and Capacitive sensors. Additionally, the watch includes TruSeen 3.5, sleep monitoring, Huawei TruRelax, and all-day activity tracking with support for 15 sports, including running, walking, hiking, cycling, swimming, and more.
In terms of battery life, the 42mm model comes with a 150mAh battery, which the company says offers up to 7 days of typical use, whereas, the 46mm model has a bigger 455mAh battery that promises a battery life of up to 14 days on a single charge. On the software front, the watch runs on LiteOS and provides a wide range of watch faces to choose from and apply.
