The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes in three color variants – Interstellar Black, Glacier White, and Aurora Blue. The back is made up of Gorilla Glass 5 and houses four cameras in a square formation. The primary shooter is a 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor accompanied by a wide-angle lens, a macro lens, and a depth sensor. On the front is a 6.67-inch Full HD IPS display with a punch-hole camera for selfies rated at 32MP. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of a rear-mounted one that we’ve been seeing till now. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max retains all your essential I/O in the form of a USB-C port, a headphone jack, an IR blaster, and a triple slot for two SIMs and a dedicated SD card. On the inside is the Snapdragon 720G chipset which might seem inferior to the G90T on the Note 8 Pro on paper, but it does bring in some CPU-related improvements which you can read about in our detailed article. The SoC brings with it support for NavIC which has been talked about a lot recently. The Note 9 Pro Max gets a 5020mAh battery which is the largest we’ve seen on a Redmi Note device till date. There’s support for 33W fast charging and the adaptor is included within the box. This also makes it the fastest charging Redmi Note smartphone.
