The Sharp S3 features a 5-inch FHD IGZO display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 paired with 3GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device offers 32GB of internal memory which is further expandable up to 256GB. Camera options on the S3 include a 5-Megapixel front sensor and a 13.1-Megapixel secondary sensor along with LED flash. The physical keys are placed on the right side of the phone and the polycarbonate casing lacks exuberance. The Sharp S3 is backed by a 2,700mAh non-removable battery and will come with the Android 8.0 Oreo. Yet another mention worthy feature is the IPX5/8 certification for waterproofing and dust proofing. Apart from the borderline boring design, the Sharp S3 also misses out on a fingerprint sensor. The device is available in Blue, Black, White and Pink colors and is priced at 32,400 yen ($298/Rs 18,980). Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C. At this juncture, the Sharp S3 is only available in Japan but is likely to be introduced in Taiwan at a later stage. We should be getting our first look of the Sharp S3 during the Mobile World Congress next month.
