The scale is made out of tempered glass and features a polished surface which prevents you from slipping even with wet feet. There’s an elegantly designed LED display which comes to life three seconds after you step on it. It comes in only a single white color option which can be a good or bad thing depending on your home’s decor. Being a smart fitness device, it also syncs with Xiaomi’s Mi Fit smartphone app for presenting all the collected information in neat charts and timelines. The features work in conjunction with the data from the Mi Band if you own one. This essentially allows you to track your goals and outcomes on a single platform without spending a ton.
The other big highlight of the Mi Body Composition Scale is the fact that it is capable of identifying different users. You can store up to sixteen profiles for children as well as adults. As far as the battery is concerned, Xiaomi claims it can last for up to eight months using four standard AAA batteries which are not included in the box. 2018 seems to the year Xiaomi moves beyond selling just smartphones in India. The company has already brought a bunch of televisions under its Mi TV series and has been teasing a few more launches in the coming weeks. It also introduced a handful of new Redmi phones in the last month including the Redmi 5 Pro, Redmi 5, and the Redmi Note 5.
